ALL WEEKEND!?
But seriously....a BMP-sized mission for April Fools seems like a huge waste of resources. Not that the writing took long, but the coding, skills, and approvals probably wasted a week or two (at least).
|
omg. why?! why all weekend?! now its really a waste of time.. time that couldve been spent on other things. i wouldnt say its BMP size since it only one quest. but still wow how fail.

I said BMP-sized mission. As in, the same size as one BMP mission.

Is Corporal Bane supposed to be a reference to Michael Biehn who obviously played Kyle Reese in Terminator and Corporal Hicks in Aliens? If so, his name is pronounced "Bean" not "Bane".

Love the update lol, sooo funny and so much work put into both the quest, and the profession update.
Might have taken a lot of time to do this but to me, I dont play as much as others so I dont really care haha. Such a funny update, and if they have minis and costumes...Hell yes.

Sorry....but how is it a bigger "waste" if we can play it all weekend?
Anyway, I got a laugh out of it, I'll certainly remember this April Fool's more fondly than every past one (which amounted to "Log in. Chuckle. Log out."). If that's not worth a week of time, idk what is.
Some people are in too much of a rush to stop and smell the funny....

Just got home (from work). Havnt played the quest yet (usually read Guru forum first).
If i like it or not, i am still going to really appreciate the effort that was done this year for April 1.
More, cos the Commander Bane quest can be done entire weekend
Is it funny?! Is it a good joke?!
Dunno, perhaps the best joke part is everyone was expecting some other way to look different in outposts

What the hell is wrong with you?
ArenaNet has developers making this neat thing called "tools", which allow gameplay designers to create new missions without the intervention of any programmer.

"Critizing just for the sake of it"
You'r doing it right.
Seriously, what's the point to say they "wasted resources"?
Bah.
EDIT:@all people complaining about what AngelWJedi said, sarcasm anyone?

Thank you judge and jury. Do you still play? Are you going to play GW2?
If no why do you care if ANET takes time to provide a little fun for those who still play. If yes, you would just enjoy the content for what it is, a fun time for most.

Yes and no. However, I don't see how currently playing relates to me playing GW2. Why trade a good game for a bad one?

Your "if yes" has a huuuuge amount of assumption in it

Live team, you've really outdone yourselves this year! You're all doing a great job of constantly exceeding my expectations and making me a happy GW fanboy.
Here, have (a picture of) a cookie!

Perhaps that shield is 'paper' thin. XD
Good job on the weapon icon if that's a fake shield.
Gonna farm for rep points anyway. I'm glad it'll last the whole weekend.

Also, all you trolls need to lighten up. It's April Fools. Go on your Gmail Motion, and email ANet about it if you don't like it.

Yeah, a holy smite staff. It was terrible, though.

I said resources, but same thing, I guess.
However, enjoying farming a mission for 3 days =/= to enjoying WoC sooner. In my opinion.
